S.V. CROWN RESOURCE
Define a useful training brief
Practical guidance · S.V. Crown Ltd
Begin with a workplace task
Describe what participants need to do more effectively. A concrete task gives the discussion more direction than a broad subject heading.
Identify the audience
Record job roles, prior knowledge, participant numbers and preferred delivery format. Explain the situations in which participants will apply the learning.
Agree the evidence of learning
Decide how participants can demonstrate understanding; for example, a scenario discussion, a practical exercise or an assessment. Agree the approach before delivery.
Prepare your brief
- The task or capability to strengthen
- The participants and their current experience
- The intended learning outcomes
- Delivery preferences and timing
- How learning will be applied afterwards
